About Your Coach

Meet Melissa Boswell, M.A.

In my role as your coach:

  • I will listen closely to you, respond to what I hear and ask questions. Our first few sessions, as I get to know you, I learn what you have been facing, and what are some current struggles. We will work together to come up with resources and ideas, so that you will gain momentum toward a life that works well.
  • Sometimes I will ask you to consider trying one or two different ideas or behaviors. You may be surprised how small changes matter. An ocean liner crosses the sea by adjusting 2 degrees at a time. Steady, applied changes yield significant gain over time. There will be setbacks and frustrations. That also means you are growing and learning.
  • If I hear something that concerns me for your safety and well-being, I will let you know straight away, and connect you with more resources if needed.
  • I will ask questions which may help you see your life from a different perspective. When we explore our lives with curiosity, we gain a new view. This helps with the ability to respond thoughtfully rather than simply reactively instinctively.
